About Fivetran

Iru reads connector definitions, destination settings, team membership, and audit logs via the Fivetran REST API. HTTP Basic authentication uses the API key as username and the API secret as password.

Prerequisites

Connect Fivetran to Iru

Fivetran

1

Open API configuration

In the Fivetran dashboard, open your avatar menu → API Key / SettingsAPI Config.
2

Generate and copy the API key and secret

Generate or view the key. Copy both the key and secret when they appear. The secret is shown only once; if you regenerate it, earlier integrations stop working until you update them.

Iru Compliance

1

Open Sources

In Iru Compliance, on the left navigation bar, expand Compliance and select Sources.
Left navigation: Compliance expanded, Sources selected
2

Turn on Fivetran

Find Fivetran (set Category to Analytics or use Search by name or description). On that card, turn on the toggle. A browser tab or window may open for the connector wizard.
3

Enter Basic authentication

Enter API Key in Username and API Secret in Password.
4

Confirm the source is Active

Submit until the Fivetran card shows Active.

Troubleshooting
