About Blueprints

Blueprints in Iru Endpoint allow you to define a set of behaviors, Parameters, and Library Items to be deployed to a group of devices. You can have multiple Blueprints for different locations, job roles, or testing scenarios. Blueprints support all device types, offering flexibility in grouping and managing your fleet.

How It Works

Blueprints act as templates that define what gets deployed to devices when they enroll. You create a Blueprint with specific Library Items, Parameters, and Assignment Maps, then assign it to devices during enrollment. The Blueprint configuration determines which applications, policies, and settings get applied to each device based on your organization’s needs.

Create a Blueprint

1

Navigate to Blueprints

Navigate to the Blueprints page in the Iru Endpoint Web App
2

Add Blueprint

Click the + Add Blueprint button
3

Choose template option

You can choose to start from scratch or use one of Iru Endpoint’s pre-built templates
4

Select best option

Select the option that best fits your needs
5

Name Blueprint

Name your Blueprint and give it an optional description
6

Create Blueprint

Click Create Blueprint
If you’re creating a Blueprint from scratch, you can have your Blueprint open in one tab and your Iru Endpoint Library in another. This setup allows you to easily switch between tabs, ensuring that new items are readily available for your Blueprint.

Blueprint Configuration

After creating a Blueprint, you can configure Library Items like applications, configurations, and policies to deploy. You can also set up Parameters for targeted control of device settings, create Assignment Maps for conditional logic, and configure Enrollment Settings for authentication requirements and enrollment codes.

Blueprint Types

Iru Endpoint supports different Blueprint types for various use cases. Classic Blueprints provide a “single source of truth” for all devices within them, while Assignment Maps let you dynamically apply settings, apps, and profiles based on device, user, and group attributes using conditional logic.

Next Steps

After creating Blueprints, you can add Library Items to your Blueprints, configure Parameters, and set up enrollment for your devices. For detailed information about Blueprints, see Creating a Blueprint.
